Fell 3rd December 1917

Location – Strathmore, Perthshire, Scotland

Total Known Weight – 13.4kg

Circumstances – The large daylight fireball that heralded the arrival of the Strathmore meteorite was witnessed by many and was described by one person as a truly magnificent spectacle. 4 fragments were later recovered. These are known as the Keithick, Carsie, Essendy and Corston samples. The largest of these being Essendy, which weighed 10.1kg
