Total known weight 3.52kg

Circumstances – Some roofers working on the house of a Mr Maurice Crosbie  Moore were astonished to hear a load whistling noise. It was described as like a swarm of bees in the air. They then observed an object flying over their heads that landed in a field some 300 yards away. The Mooresfort meteorite was then found buried about a foot deep in the soil.
