Location – Barwell, Leicestershire, England

Totalknown weight – 44kg

Circumstances – Barwell is also known as the Christmas meteorite. At 4.20pm after a blinding flash in the sky along with several loud bangs a shower of stones fell onto the village of Barwell. Many stones were recovered from gardens and surrounding fields and some pieces also damaged buildings, with one piece falling onto a local factory roof.
