Fell 13th October 1914

Location – Appley Bridge, Wigan, Lancashire, England

Total known weight – 15kg

Circumstances- Bright lights were observed over the skies of Wigan and there were reports of sounds of large explosions. Due to the state of war at the time it was assumed to be explosions from a German airship. This was dispelled the next day, however, as the meteorite was found by a farm worker on Halliwell Farm, Appley Bridge.
