Touching the Moon and Mars

IrvingGetting the touchable meteorite display installed at the Manchester Museum was certainly hard work. But quite soon we started to get some very nice positive feedback from various members of the ever enthusiastic Museum staff. Irving Czechowicz was particularly fascinated by the Moon-Mars-Chelyabinsk exhibit. This consists of actual space rocks from Mars, the Moon and the Chelyabinsk meteorite that can be touched all at the same time. We think this is probably the only place on Earth you can simultaneously touch Mars, the Moon and an asteroid.

Irving kindly sent the above photo and here is what he wrote:

Hi Richard
It was a joy to talk with you this afternoon. I have attached the picture as promised. I can’t wait to see visitors reaction when I tell them they can touch a piece of Mars and the Moon.
Kind regards
